Turkey Chili

“family, friends, food and football”

One of the foods we decided to make on Super Bowl Sunday was turkey chili. Ronnie makes chili with all different kinds of meat. Today, Ronnie suggested I make it healthier by using turkey meat.

  • olive oil
  • garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 packages ground turkey
  • 1 to 2 packets McCormick Chili seasoning mix
  • 3 cans of 365 beans, any kind
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 28 oz. can of tomatoes
  • salt, garlic powder to taste

Saute the onions and garlic, in the olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the ground turkey and cook until just done. Add the chili seasoning, salt and garlic powder, cook about 1 minute, stirring until mixed. Add the beans and can of tomatoes. Simmer until ready to eat. Garnish with shredded cheese. This is perfect to eat on a cold night, I hope you enjoy it!
