Countertop Tomato Sauce

“life is a combination of magic and pasta” federico fellini

This is the easiest and most delicious recipe I make in the summer. You get to taste all of the summer grown vegetables and herb. It is definitely a “must make” in the summer.

I knew that this Sunday wasn’t going to be with all my children, so I wanted to make something that I didn’t have to spend the morning in the kitchen. I decided on this sauce, with steaks and a summer corn salad.

Countertop Sauce

  • 2 bunches or tomatoes, your choice. I used vine tomatoes.
  • 4 – 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • olive oil
  • handful of basil
  • 1 pound of your choice of pasta
  • salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
  • parmesan cheese to taste

I dice the tomatoes into small pieces, sprinkle olive oil over it; add seasoning and basil. Set on the counter until you are ready to eat.

Make pasta, drain and toss the tomatoes over the pasta, sprinkle cheese on it and serve. That’s it, so easy and so delicious! I hope you enjoy it!
