Date Night

“unplanned moments are always better than planned ones”

Ronnie and I don’t always have the chance to be by ourselves, so we have to make an effort at it. Tonight, since it’s just the two of us we get to have a date night. Ronnie has been talking about going to Twin Oaks Restaurant in Cranston for the past few weeks, we used to go all the time when our children were younger. We would order the same thing every time, I would order the Italian Antipasto, Ronnie the Tuna Antipasto and we couldn’t resist the Italian bread. It’s a place where everyone knows your name, you always run into people that you haven’t seen in years. That’s exactly what happened to us, we walked in and as we were walking to the back of the restaurant we bumped into an NFL player who grew up in the neighborhood with our children. Will was having dinner with his beautiful family, the minute he saw us he got up to greet us with hugs and smiles. The last time I saw Will was at a family cookout at my house with my dad; Will was my dad’s favorite Boston College Eagle.
