“some of the best memories are made in flip flops” Kellie Elmore
The month of August is bittersweet; we still get to enjoy the lazy days of summer but, we have to soon get back to reality. I always dreaded the end of the summer when my children were young. It meant we had to go back to schedules, no more beach days, or being outside late on summer nights. I have another full weekend ahead of me. My nephew Jared and his family are coming to visit from out of state. He hasn’t been back in almost 20 years, so the whole family is looking forward to his visit. It will be filled with good food, good company, and a lot of fun memories. So let the fun begin!
They came in the afternoon, so I made Mama’s pastina for lunch.
And for dinner Nana’s pizza and a nice salad.
