“and all at once, summer collapsed into fall”

It’s always sad to see summer leave, but for me fall is the most wonderful time of year. Everything about fall is wonderful, the smells, the crisp air, and the delicious food. Today we closed the pool; it’s both sad and exciting at the same time. Our summers are filled with a lot of fun with family and friends. Since we spend most of our weekends outside, we always dread the weekend that we have to close the pool. Sunday was a combination of football and closing the pool; summer and fall in one day. Sundays at my house are always filled with laughter, sometimes arguing, but always a family that enjoys each other. Dinner was the same, with ribs, pasta, corn on the cob and roasted vegetables; summer and fall mixed together. We ended the day with apple strudel and sparklers, once again we had a fun filled Sunday!
