“once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one, is a life diminished” – Dean Koontz
Since the dog food we were feeding Remy got recalled, I started researching homemade dog food. I’m still in the process of figuring out what foods are good for him and how to make them. There are so many benefits of homemade dog food that I now feel guilty feeding him store bought. Today I came up with this quick recipe! I will start using brown rice instead of white (white was all I had in the house). Remy seemed to like it, so I will start experimenting with more recipes. Stay tuned!
- 2 cups of rice
- 1/2 bag of frozen peas
- 4 eggs scrambled
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 1 celery stalk, cut into small pieces
- 2 slices of cheese
Cook rice according to instructions on back, add coconut oil, celery and peas. While rice is cooking scramble the eggs with the cheese. When rice in done add the cooked eggs to the rice and let cool completely. Hope your dog loves it as much as mine!
