“beautiful girls, you can do amazing things”

Today, is the beginning of a 3 day sleepover with Nyla and Maliah. Allie and Mia went away for competition, and Isaiah has work and basketball, so I have the pleasure of having them stay here. Nyla has a lot of things planned to do with me; she wants to do experiments, watch Disney movies, and bake for Valentine’s Day. So day 1, Nyla made her experiment, hand soap, flour, and crushed cookies. Bubbles were everywhere, Maliah enjoyed watching as Nyla blew the bubbles out of a straw. Usually, I hide all the ingredients that Nyla uses but, tonight I let her enjoy the moment. Dinner for Nyla and Maliah is easy, saugy’s and pastina. I decided to make Mexican stuffed peppers with a salad for me, Ronnie, and Anthony. It was a very relaxing night with the girls.

Stuffed Peppers

• 6 peppers
• 2 pounds of hamburg meat, you could also use turkey meat
• 1 can of black olives, chopped
• 3 packages of Taco seasoning
• 2 cups of cooked rice
• splash of olive oil
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• shredded cheese

Heat oil and minced garlic in a large saute pan, add meat and cook fully. Reduce heat, add taco seasoning and stir together until meat is fully coated. Add the olives, cooked rice, and shredded cheese. Meanwhile cut off tops of the peppers and spoon out the ribs and seeds. Fill the peppers with the meat mixture to the top and bake for 20 minutes or until done.
